Nori Pepe

Passionate and adventurous, Nori Pepe has held intriguing roles such as Circus Performer, Aerial Photographer, U.S. Freestyle Ski Team Member, and Artist. In 2003, she received the prestigious Thomas J. Watson Fellowship for her project “Circuses and Stunts: Photography of Entertainment in Motion,” which took her across South America, Russia, and Europe to photograph circus performers. The vibrant imagery from this project has continued to influence her artwork.

Nori’s adventurous spirit and travels deeply influence her artistic process. She uses her camera as both a sketchbook and a journal, capturing her experiences to reinterpret them through linocut, collagraph, and solar plate etching techniques. She thrives on transforming fleeting moments into meticulously detailed prints, weaving narratives into the layers of her artwork. Her photography and printmaking have been exhibited in New York, Florida, New England, California, Colorado, and Barcelona, Spain.

Since graduating from Union in College in 2003, Nori spent 18 years dedicating herself to coaching and directing Freestyle Skiing Development Programs in Waterville Valley, NH, Telluride and Aspen, CO, and Killington, VT. Her excellence in coaching was recognized when she was named the 2016 Freestyle Coach of the Year by the U.S. Ski & Snowboard.

For the past seven years, Nori has lived in Woodstock, Vermont, with her husband and their two young daughters. Currently, she is applying her talents in writing, design, and photography as the PR & Marketing Manager at Billings Farm & Museum.
